Days 1-2 : UK - Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon. Trasnfer to your hotel folllowed by your welcome dinner of local cuisine.
Day 3 : Mekong Delta - My Tho
Explore the Mekong Delta which is dotted with rice paddies and fruit plantations. Enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River, hopping on and off at various floating markets, villages, home industries and plantations.
Day 4 : Saigon
Tour the Presidential Palace, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, Cholon - Saigon's Chinatown, Ben Thanh Markets and the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the goddess of the Sea.
Day 5 : Saigon - Tunnels - Nha Trang
See the amazing guerilla tunnel system (Cu Chi) before attending the midday service at Cao Dai Great Temple - one of the most striking structures in Asia.
Days 6-7 : Saigon - Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to UNESCO listed Hoi An stopping at the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain and China Beach en-route. There is also time to visit the local tailors, so ge tmeasured up today and pick up tomorrow! A walking tour the following day visits a 200 year old merchant's home, the Japanese Bridge, a local market and the Chinese Pagoda. There's also some spare time to explore the city on your own.
Day 8 : Hoi An - Hue
We drive to the ancient capital of Hue over the spectacular Hai Van pass. Enjoy a cyclo tour to the Citadel, which was inspired by Beijing’s Forbidden City, and visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the Perfume River and take part in a cooking class tonight.
Day 9 : Hue - Hanoi
Start with a visit to the Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs and stop by a village where incense-sticks are made. Fly to Hanoi in the afternoon and in the evening enjoy a performance by the famous Water Puppets.
Day 10 : Hanoi
Prepare for a busy day of sightseeing today, which includes a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Stilt House and Museum,Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and drive around Hoan Kiem Lake. Also enjoy a walking tour of the Old Quarter and the markets.
Day 11 : Hanoi - Halong Bay
Cruise Halong Bay, the Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam. Enjoy spectacular scenery and a seafood meal onboard before driving back to Hanoi through the striking rural countryside of the Red River Delta.
Days 12-13 : Hanoi - UK
Day at leisure in Hanoi. Transfer to the aiport for your back to the UK, arriving home the next day.
