Vietnam

Vietnam is situated in South East Asia near China, Laos and Cambodia; the official name of the country is the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.  The capital is Hanoi and the largest city is Ho Chi Minh City that was previously named Saigon, around 86.5 million people live in Vietnam.  Most visitors to Vietnam are surprised and overwhelmed by the country’s stunning natural beauty from the Red River Delta in the North to the Mekong Delta in the south as well as the green patchwork of rice paddies along the coast, Vietnam also has beautiful beaches along the coast and further inland there are the towering mountains cloaked in dense misty forests.

The climate in Vietnam is tropical, there are two distinct seasons: cold and dry from November to April and hot and wet from May to October.  The average temperature annually is from 22ºC – 27ºC, the temperature and the weather conditions can vary between the North and South of the country as well as between land and mountains.
