Nightlife
The nightlife scene in Memphis is vibrant and some people visit the city for this reason alone! The legendary Beale Street is the undeniable heart of the city's nightlife and is lined with clubs open until the early hours. Beale Street has every kind of bar and club to suit everyone's tastes and there is little difference between them as every venue has live music at least a few nights a week; the street is home to well known bars including the Beale Street Tap Room with nearly 30 beers on tap and in a prime location and the Coyote Ugly Saloon where the bartenders entertain the crowds. Not all of the nightlife in Memphis is confined to Beale Street, Overton Square in Midtown and the Pinch Historic District in Downtown have some great restaurants, bars and clubs worth visiting.
EntertainmentMemphis has a great entertainment scene and as well as Rock, Blues and Soul music there is performing arts including ballet and theater as well as symphony and orchestra. The city also has art galleries, many museums and the Memphis zoo.
