Grand CanyonThe Grand Canyon is located in Arizona and is a United States National Park, the park surrounds 277 miles of the Colorado River and uplands. The Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion and is unmatched by anywhere else in the world. The busiest times are between spring and autumn when reservations for hotels and camping are necessary.
The Grand Canyon is a good place for hiking and nature walks, the hiking trails range in difficulty from fifteen minute to multi-week treks. Nature walks are good if you're not interested in hiking visitors can take a stroll along the rim trail to enjoy the fantastic views, there are also many animals that can be viewed from here, some of these are deer, elk and big horn sheep. The Grand Canyon is also one of the few places on earth where you might spot the California condor soaring through the air. Other activities you can do in the Grand Canyon are white water rafting, motor coach tours, mule rides, star gazing, air tours, cycling and educational courses.
The Stratosphere Tower
The stratosphere tower in Las Vegas stands at 1,149 ft high and is the second tallest freestanding building in the United States. At the top of the tower there are three thrill rides; the big shot is 1,081 ft high and is the highest thrill ride in the world, blasting visitors straight up 160 feet at 45 mph until they are 1,081 feet above the Strip. X-Scream is a ride that propels passengers at a 30-degree angle 27 feet over the edge of the tower at 866 feet off the ground. After reaching 30 mph at the end of the track the ride stops and does it all over again! Insanity the Ride dangles riders over the 27 feet over the edge and spins at 40mph. There is also a revolving restaurant, an observation deck, shops and a casino at the top.
The Fremont Street Experience
The Fremont Street Experience is situated right in the heart of Las Vegas and is one of the most popular attractions on the Strip. The street has a fantastic free lightshow where over 12 million lights dazzle and thousands of watts of sound amaze the crowds, each lightshow lasts for 10 minutes and takes place on the vision screen, which is one of the largest screens in the world. Also situated on the street are over 60 restaurants, which range from quick snacks to fine dining. There are different ten casinos on the street and each as famous as the next, each of the casinos has a hotel attached and are great places to stay for easy access to all best sights and sounds in Las Vegas.
