Phuket overview

Located in the Andaman Sea just off the coast of Thailand Phuket has become well known as the "Pearl of the South" and connects to the mainland by the Sarasin Bridge. With stunning beaches, beautiful sunsets and warm turquoise waters Phuket is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Phuket is also the largest island in Thailand and has an extremely diverse landscape from waterfalls and temples to sandy and rocky beaches as well as dense forests and tall cliffs.

Over the years Phuket has developed rapidly with many lively resorts including Patong Beach, this resort has many restaurants, bars and nightclubs.  The island has a wide variety of things to do to suit everyone’s budget and there are many offshore islands perfect for diving and snorkelling.  Phuket is the perfect place for shopping with an extensive variety of shops from local bazaars to department stores selling everything from food to designer clothing.

The climate in Phuket is hot and humid all year round, the busiest time of the year is between November and May when the weather is sunny and warm.  From May to October is the rainy season when the weather is a lot cooler with tropical rainfall.
