Dubai shopping is one of the best in the world and nicknamed "Shopping capital of the Middle East". There is no better place to find so many items at unbeatable prices than in the shopping malls and souks selling everything from food and textiles to gold and electronics. There are over 50 modern and stylish shopping malls in Dubai as well as many traditional souks and markets

The souks are a great way to see local life in Dubai, there are many souks located on the banks of both sides of the Creek and each side is worth exploring. There are many different types of Souks specialising in selling specific items.

The gold souk is the place many visitors associate with Dubai, the streets of the souk are lined with shops selling amazing ranges of high quality gold jewellery as well as diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls a lot cheaper than western prices. The Spice souk has narrow streets and is a historic market dating way back to the beginning of Dubai itself. Each of the market stalls and shops have the spices on display in sacks giving the souk a unique aroma. The textile souk displays a vast amount of different textiles including silks and cotton.
