Kuala Lumpur overview

Kuala Lumpur is Malaysias thrusting capital, there the architecture varies from the elegant colonial buildings of Merdeka Square to the modern skyscrpaers, with a constant infusion of Asian style.

Of the 90 or so markets, the most famous is Chow Kit. the handicraft market is great for batiks. In the city huge air conditioned shopping malls, goods are high quality and brilliant bargains include high fashion items and prescription eye glasses.

Wander around Chinatown with it temples, bazaars and eateries, and check out Little India. Outside the city, take a trip to the stunning Taman Negara National Park. After dark, a cosmopolitan array of bars spring to life.
