Sharm El Sheikh overview

Sharm El Sheikh is one of the most developed tourist destinations in the southern tip of Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, with sun, sea, sand, the luxury of five star hotels and one of the best diving spots in the world it is popular with holidaymakers and water sports enthusiasts.  Sharm El Sheikh blends the ultra modern with age-old traditions with Bedouins and colourful tents alongside the bustling tourist resorts.

As with all major tourist resorts there is everything for everyone’s tastes in Sharm El Sheikh, some of these include; casinos, golfing, nightclubs and health facilities.  Some outdoor activities available are; diving, snorkelling, windsurfing plus many other water sports, there are also camel riding and desert safaris.

The climate in Sharm El Sheikh is very dry with two main seasons, winter and summer. The winter months are between November and March and during these months it is warm but a lot colder at night, there are also some rainy spells that last a few seconds. The summer months are very hot and dry during the day when the temperature is in the forties; at night the temperature doesn’t fall too much and is still in the thirties.
