1. London to Cairo:
Your door-to-door driver takes you to London Heathrow for your flight to Cairo with EgyptAir. Three nights at the 5A Cairo Marriott Hotel.
2. Cairo:
Today visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities including finds from the tomb of Tutankhamun.
3. Cairo:
A highlight of your trip, today’s tour includes the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Memphis, and Saqqara.
4. Cairo to Alexandria:
Leave for Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast for two nights at the Renaissance Alexandria Hotel. Afternoon visit to the National Museum and the gardens of the Montazah Palace.
5. Alexandria:
A full day of sightseeing, see the great Library, the Karmous quarter, Catacombs of Kom el-Shouqafa and the Roman amphitheatre.
6. Alexandria to Cairo and Luxor:
Fly to Luxor with EgyptAir and join your 5A Thomas Cook Nile cruiser for your seven-night Nile voyage.
7. Luxor:
Discover the beautiful Temple of Dendera this morning. The rest of your day is at leisure.
8. Luxor to Esna:
At the West Bank, visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Later, sail towards Esna.
9. Esna to Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan:
Sail to Edfu for a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Horus. Afternoon visit to Kom Ombo. Continue to Aswan and overnight.
10. Abu Simbel or Aswan:
Abu Simbel’s cliff-face temples await on an optional tour. Otherwise, your morning is free before this afternoon’s. gentle felucca trip on the river.
11. Aswan to Esna:
Visit Aswan’s most famous sites, the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the peaceful island of Philae. Sail in the afternoon to Esna.
12. Esna to Luxor:
Returning to Luxor, visit the East Bank to see the immense temples of Karnak and Luxor.
13. Luxor to Sharm el Sheikh:
Fly later today with EgyptAir via Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh. Get settled at the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort.
14. Sharm el Sheikh:
A full day at leisure.
15. St Catherine’s Monastery:
A special day today – make your way to Mount Sinai and the oldest Christian monastery in existence to tour the reputed sites of Moses’ Burning Bush and the delivery of the Ten Commandments.
16. Sharm el Sheikh:
A further full day at leisure to relax.
17. Sharm el Sheikh to London:
Returning from Sharm el Sheikh via Cairo, fly to London Heathrow with EgyptAir. Your door-to-door driver will be waiting to drive you home.
