1. London to Luxor:
Your door-to-door pick-up driver will chauffeur you to London Heathrow for your EgyptAir flight to Luxor, where your Tour Manager will meet you on arrival. Transfer to Thomas Cook Nile cruiser for a seven night cruise.
2. Luxor:
First morning’s sightseeing to the magnificent Temple of Dendera. The afternoon is at leisure.
3. Luxor:
This morning take a drive through sugar plantations and dust-dry desert to view the major sites of Luxor’s West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the grandeur of Queen Hatshepsut’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Sail towards Esna in the afternoon.
4. Esna to Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan:
Sail to Edfu and on arrival, take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Ptolemaic Temple to view the mummified crocodiles. Sail to Aswan and overnight.
5. Aswan or Abu Simbel:
Morning at leisure or join the unmissable optional tour to Abu Simbel. Spend the afternoon on a gentle felucca trip on the river.
6. Aswan to Esna:
Visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the tranquil island Temple of Philae before sailing in the afternoon to Esna.
7. Esna to Luxor:
A morning sail to Luxor is followed by a visit to the East Bank’s awe-inspiring Temples of Karnak and Luxor.
8. Luxor to Cairo:
Fly to Cairo, where the 5A Semiramis InterContinental Hotel becomes your home for the next two nights.
9. Cairo:
Spend the morning at two of Egypt’s most famous landmarks, the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. In the afternoon visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.
10. Cairo to Amman and Petra:
Fly to Amman and journey by road to Petra. Settle in at the Marriott Petra Hotel, your home for the next two nights.
11. Petra:
The day begins with visits to Rose Red City and the famous ruined El Khazneh, or ‘treasury’, magnificent rock temples, tombs and ancient sites of Wadi Rum canyon.
12. Petra to Sharm El Sheikh:
Journey by coach to the port of Aqaba and join a ferry cruise across the Red Sea to Nuweiba. Continue by road to Sharm El Sheikh and relax for the rest of the day at the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort.
13-14. Sharm El Sheikh:
With two full days at leisure you can relax on the beach and enjoy the excellent facilities at your hotel.
15. Sharm El Sheikh to London:
Your EgyptAir flight will take you from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo and then onwards to London Heathrow, where your door-to-door pick-up driver will be waiting to take you home.
