Trinidad & Tobago overview

Trinidad is vibrant, cosmopolitan and culturally diverse, the main attraction of the island is the annual carnival with dancing and calypso music, steel bands, great food, beautiful costumes and stunning floats, its no wonder the locals spend all year preparing for it!  The stylish capital has colonial style houses alongside high rise buildings, the city is always on the go with colourful markets, bazaars and shopping malls mixed together with gothic style cathedrals, Hindu temples and mosques which show the diverse culture. Visitors who want to relax and get away from the bustling city can head to the north coast of the island where there are vast stretches of beautiful beaches, dense forests and quiet fishing villages.

Tobago is known as the last of the unspoiled island of the Caribbean, the tropical paradise has endless stretches of palm fringed beaches, lush green rainforests and stunning coral reefs. Tobago is a perfect island for nature lovers; there are over 100 species of mammals and 70 types of reptiles living on the island.

The Islands have a tropical climate with temperatures reaching around 89°F or 32°C, the dry season is from January to May and the wet season is from June to December. Tobago has a cooler temperature than Tobago.
