St Lucia overview

Saint Lucia is an island in the Caribbean and lies between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. The island is home to the famous twin pitons Gros Piton and Petit Piton, one of the most beautiful natural highlights of the Caribbean soaring 2,000 feet above sea level.

There is a wide selection of exciting and exotic activities offered on the island. Steep coastlines and gorgeous reefs make snorkelling and scuba diving a blissful experience. The rainforest preserves of the islands mountainous interior are one of the finest places for hiking and bird watching. Superb facilities for golf, sailing, tennis and a list of other leisure pursuits are available on the island.

Dining in St Lucia is a significant and pleasurable part of your holiday. Most restaurants are situated in the tourist areas of the island Castries, Soufriere, Rodney Bay and Gros Islet. The food mainly consists of fresh fruit and vegetables including banana, fish and a range of curries, jerk, rice and stewed dishes. Nightlife in St Lucia is fairly good, with Rodney Bay Village containing the most bars and nightclubs. Friday night “jump up’s” are street parties where locals and tourist let their hair down.
