Discovery BayDiscovery Bay is a small town in St Ann on the north coast of Jamaica with a population of around 2,500 and there have been many debates on whether Christopher Columbus first landed in Discovery Bay or Sevilla la Nueva in 1494. Discovery Bay has several historic sites including Columbus Park and the Green Grotto Caves. Columbus Park commemorates Columbus' arrival in Jamaica; there is a museum and a 24-hour open-air park displaying relics of Jamaican history. The Green Grotto caves situated nearby in the Runaway caves offer boat rides 120 feet below ground on the lake in the limestone Green Grotto.
