Jamaica overview

Jamaica is situated in the Caribbean just south of Cuba and is the third largest island in the Caribbean as well as being the capital and largest city in Kingston.  A holiday in Jamaica provides visitors with coral or volcanic sand beaches, great diving and sporting opportunities, luxurious spas and a strong musical culture, plenty of rum and a beautiful lush green landscape.  The climate in Jamaica is tropical and warm all year round, the wettest months are between May and November.

There are many things to see and do in Jamaica; a visit to Kingston wouldn’t be complete without visiting reggae music legend Bob Marley’s home and recording studio that has been turned into a museum celebrating his life and career.  The Blue Mountains are a great place for hill walkers and nature lovers, with crystal clear streams, mango trees and one of the best views of the green summits of the tropical mountain world.  The Blue Lagoon is a great place for swimmers, divers and snorkellers; the lagoon shines in different colours of turquoise and blue when the sun shines.  Dunns River Falls is a 200m high waterfall situated in Ocho Rios and is one of the most popular attractions in Jamaica where visitors can climb the waterfall with or without a tour group.  Nightlife in Jamaica is lively with many pubs, clubs and restaurants.
