Situated on the Caribbean Sea just southeast of Florida the Bahamas is made up of over 700 islands, which altogether are twice the size of Spain. With white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters the Bahamas is paradise. The nightlife on Nassau and Paradise Island is lively with many pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and casinos open until the early hours, on the Out Islands it is completely different; the island has an "early to bed, up with the roosters" lifestyle so the nightlife is more laid back in resort lounges and few bars.
There are many things to see and do on each of the islands from relaxing on the beach, diving and snorkelling to water parks and clubbing, thee is something for everyone in the Bahamas. On the island of Great Abaco, Treasure Cay Beach has some of the whitest sandy beaches with shallow turquoise water, which is perfect for swimming, even for the kids. Attractions on Paradise Island include the water park and casino; Exuma Cays has 176-sqaure miles of almost completely underwater preserve which is home to thousands on species of marine life.
The climate in the Bahamas is marine with good weather all year round with winds keeping the temperature mild. May to November is the rainy season and the northern and western islands are cooler than the southern islands, which can get extremely hot during the summer months
