The main district for Toronto's liveliest nightlife is the Clubland area within the Fashion district. The streets are packed with partygoers and clubbers and the Clubland area has the highest number of clubs, bars and restaurants in North America, the city also has a great variety of stylish clubs and trendy cocktail lounges as well as relaxed neighbourhood bars and pubs.
Away from the clubbing and bar scene Toronto has fantastic entertainment all year round from theatre and film festivals to live music and performing arts. The theatre district is the heart of entertainment in Toronto situated in the north of the city, home to the second largest theatre industry in North America, second only to Broadway in New York. The theatres host big name plays and musicals with fantastic production. The Toronto International Film Festival is held after Labour Day in 23 venues in the Downtown area where over 400 films are screened over the 10-day event. There are many more entertainment opportunities in Toronto waiting to be found.
