1. London to Nairobi:
Your door-to-door driver takes you to London Heathrow for your overnight Kenya Airways flight to Nairobi.

2. Nairobi:
Reaching Nairobi today, relax at the Holiday Inn Mayfair Court, your base for the night. Discover the city on an optional tour or spend your day at leisure.

3. Nairobi to Aberdares National Park:
Exchange the city for Aberdares National Park, lunching at Outspan Hotel en route. Covering a mountainous, forested area, the park’s famous tree lodges let you watch animals at close range. The Treetops, a tree house built on stilts, is your home for tonight.

4. Aberdares to Shaba National Reserve:
Cross the equator into the panoramic northern frontier district en route to Shaba National Reserve. Reaching the Sarova Shaba Lodge (or similar), which welcomes you for a two-night stay, enjoy your first game drive this afternoon.

5. Shaba and Samburu National Reserve:
Shaba’s wildlife includes species rarely seen elsewhere, so begin your day with an early-morning game drive before breakfast at the lodge. Look out for Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and Grevy’s zebra. The rest of the morning is at leisure before an afternoon game drive.

6. Shaba to Lake Nakuru National Park:
Journey back across the equator to the Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar and enjoy an afternoon’s game drive in an area rich with wildlife.

7. Lake Nakuru National Park to the Maasai Mara:
Traverse the Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s leading game reserve. Settle in at the Mara Simba Lodge (or similar), located just outside the Maasai Mara Reserve, for three nights. This afternoon, embark on a game drive.

8. Maasai Mara:
Take an early-morning game drive followed by breakfast back at the lodge. Or, alternatively, take to the skies early this morning on the optional balloon flight over the Mara, a great way to see elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos, followed by a bush breakfast (book locally through your tour manager). The rest of your morning is at leisure before a bush lunch and afternoon game drive.

9. Maasai Mara:
Set out early for a game drive before spending the rest of the morning at leisure. Enjoy your final game drive late this afternoon and a bush dinner.

10. Maasai Mara, Nairobi and flight home:
Leaving the Maasai Mara behind, travel to Nairobi for your overnight Kenya Airways flight back to London, or continue with your extended holiday on the beach at Mombasa.
